A unique weeping cherry blossom that Kano is proud of
A single weeping cherry blossom, Danjo Itozakura, located on Seiryu Street in front of the Shunan City Kano General Branch. This cherry blossom, which is renowned for its individuality within the prefecture, is estimated to be about 300 years old. It is named after its location on the earthen fortifications of the former residence of Eda Danjo, a vassal of the warlord Tōyama Harukata during the Warring States period.
