Hagi Mantokukai (Sending Fire)

A fantastical world unfolds, a summer tradition of Hagi
The 'Hagi Mantokukai' held at Tai Shorin Temple, the family temple of the Mouri clan, and Tokoji is a summer tradition of Hagi. The 'Sending Fire' on the 15th takes place at Tokoji. Here, the couples of the 3rd to the 11th odd-numbered generations of the clan chiefs are enshrined. About 500 stone lanterns in the cemetery are lit, creating a fantastical world worth seeing. ■Notes Since the ground is dark, please bring a flashlight.
