Cherry Blossom Viewing: Kurume Hyakunen Park

A park created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the city
Hyakunen Park was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Kurume City. It is a beautiful green park adjacent to the embankments of the Takagawa River and the riverbed of the Chikugo River, featuring a grassy square, an event square, and a multipurpose square. In spring, 200 cherry blossom trees bloom along the river. It is also adjacent to the Central Park, which houses the Youth Science Museum and the Bird Center, situated in the recreation zone of central Kurume. No lighting for events. Restrooms available.
