Asahiyama Park was opened in 1909 to commemorate the visit of the Crown Prince (later Emperor Taisho) to the Hokuriku region. The park features an observation deck where one can enjoy breathtaking views of the cityscape, the coastline stretching from north to south, and the stunning scenery from the Noto Peninsula floating in the sea to the Tateyama mountain range. In spring, the cherry trees within the park reach their peak bloom, attracting many visitors who enjoy the cherry blossoms swaying in the spring breeze. As the season of cherry blossoms transitions into the fragrant days of spring, beautiful azaleas bloom, bringing a sense of tranquility.
