34th Yoshida Bunraku Preservation Society Regular Performance

Traditional performing art 'Ningyo Joruri' at a historic public hall.
Bunraku is one of Japan's representative traditional performing arts, alongside Kabuki and Noh. It is a puppet theater where three puppeteers manipulate a single puppet to the emotionally rich narration of the tayu and the performance of the shamisen. 'Okumi Ningyo Joruri (commonly known as Yoshida Bunraku)' is an intangible folk cultural asset designated by Toyohashi City, and the original performance 'Oyumihashi Shinju' unfolds a sad love story set in the Yoshida castle town. 'Futari Sambaso' and 'Keisei Awa no Naruto' are also scheduled to be performed. Everyone, from children to adults, is welcome to attend.
