[Autumn Leaves - Best Viewing] Taiheiko

Taiheiko is an artificial lake created by the completion of the Moriyoshi Dam, with a circumference of 30 km, an area of 195 ha, and a depth of 58 m. The lake has 13 large and small valleys and streams flowing into it, and is home to many species such as cherry salmon, char, carp, and wakasagi. Boat tours begin from the opening of the lake on June 1, guiding visitors to the mystical Komata Gorge from fresh greenery to the autumn foliage season in October. The beautiful autumn leaves reflected on the lake's surface can also be enjoyed from the boat. ■Remarks Shared taxis are available from the 'Ani-Maeda' Station on the inland line (Yoneizawa Taxi)
