Izumi, who has previously created prints and paintings based on mechanical objects and landscapes seen in films and videos, will present works inspired by movie scenes, landscapes referenced from magazines and the internet. By using computer software to modify and retouch images of various landscapes, new scenes will be created. Based on that, Izumi will produce and exhibit paintings that protrude from the screen into the exhibition space using flexible materials such as paper and felt.
