[Beach] Taniyama Beach

A famous beach on the Sea of Japan side known for its long coastline and good water quality. On clear days, one can enjoy a magnificent view of the sunset over the Japan Sea, with Sado Island in the distance and Mount Goyama, known for its 'Sankai-bushi' song. Every year, many beachgoers come seeking the smell of the sea from far away, including Nagano Prefecture and even the Kanto region. It is also frequently used for seaside school trips for elementary and junior high school students.
