Hydrangea Festival 2025: Special Viewing of "Rai-niwa" from the Inner Sanctuary

Jorin-ji Temple is the ancestral temple of the Miike clan from the medieval period, said to have been established in 1199 (the first year of the Shōji era). The group of stone towers, such as the Miike clan's memorial tower and five-ring tower, evokes a sense of ancient history. It is also known as the hydrangea temple, with splendid hydrangeas blooming in various colors throughout the precinct. Additionally, during the festival period, the "Rai-niwa" will be specially opened to the public. Normally not open to the public, visitors can specially tour the "Rai-niwa" only during this blooming season.
