Oga Lotus Viewing Festival

Thinking of the ancient lotus...
The Oga Lotus is an ancient lotus that sprouted from seeds discovered in strata over 2000 years old, and is believed to belong to the class of the longest-living plant seeds. Kinokawa City, which is mostly mountainous, has abundant water sources, which allow many crops to thrive, thanks to the water gushing from this forest of water sources, the Oga Lotus is also growing vibrantly. Additionally, you can see the Vietnamese Lotus donated from Vietnam. On the day of the event, while admiring the beautiful lotuses, a lotus viewing festival will be held featuring koto performances, elephant trunk cup experiences, and outdoor tea ceremonies.
