This cherry tree, a Special Natural Monument, is located in front of the Sanbutsudo. It is a mutant species of mountain cherry that produces large white flowers from pink buds. The tree was transplanted in 1881 in accordance with the separation of Shinto and Buddhism, and it is said to be approximately 400 years old at that time. Height: approximately 10m, trunk diameter: approximately 5.7m, estimated age: 500 years.
