Kohari Matsushita Style Fire Festival

A fire festival that decorates summer nights
The Kohari Matsushita Style Fire Festival is said to have been devised by Matsushita Izumi-no-kami Shigetuna, who was the lord of Kohari Castle. It has been passed down that it was held in the camp to celebrate victories and to memorialize victims. Currently, it is a fire festival that decorates summer nights, dedicated to praying for fire disaster prevention and abundant harvests. The fire festival combines puppetry and synchronized fireworks, manipulating the strings stretched in the air to control puppets in time with the music. It is also known as "Three Strings" and "Mechanical Puppet Fireworks." ■Notes Free shuttle bus service operates from 18:00 (TX Mirai-Hirabayashi Station to the venue)
