Beppu Hamawaki Yakushi Festival

Thankful for the power of Hamawaki Onsen, said to be a mysterious spiritual spring that can heal any intractable disease, the Yakushi Nyorai is enshrined here. The festival started for the people visiting for hot spring healing. This year, we will hold events such as Yakushi Nyorai rituals, Yakushi reception, children's taiko drum performances, Okinawan Eisa, face-changing shows, dance theater, courtesan parades, dance shows, a Beppu City 100th anniversary Yuasami Chiru karaoke show, Yakushi Ondo dance, haunted house, and more. From August 28 to 31, there will be a display of mitate crafts. There will be food stalls and kitchen cars.
