Chikurihachiman Shrine Procession

A traditional autumn festival boasting a 300-year history
The largest event of the Hojyo Festival held at Chikurihachiman Shrine is this procession. The procession is dedicated to the shrine to pray for a bountiful harvest, with participants dressed in traditional costumes, accompanied by bells, flutes, drums, and lion dances. A grand procession of nearly a hundred people elegantly dances to the sounds of bells, flutes, and drums, celebrating a traditional autumn festival with a 300-year history.
