The venue, Mahito Park, was selected as one of the "100 Famous Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan" in 1990, attracting many visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture as one of the top cherry blossom viewing spots. With the green of Mt. Mahito in the background, the park features ponds and an island, offering a breathtaking view. During the cherry blossom season, the "Mahito Park Cherry Blossom Festival" is held. Intense competition takes place on April 29th during the "Taraikogi Race."
