In the fourteenth year of the Meiji era, Emperor Meiji visited here and was moved by its beauty, naming this place "Kimimachizaka" which had no established name before. The symbol of Kimimachizaka is the Bepu Rock, which stands towering around the square. Enjoy the contrast between the blooming pink cherry blossoms and the fresh green backdrop of the Bepu Rock.
