Edohigan Cherry Blossom in Kira

Edohigan Cherry Blossom in Kira

A cherry blossom said to be so beautiful that a goddess resides in it

Gosho-Hira Park (in front of Ikabe Shrine)

Late Mar~Early Apr

Estimated age over 400 years, height about 20m, trunk circumference 4.5m. This is the largest of its kind in the prefecture and designated as a natural monument by the prefecture. The trunk splits into three, spreading out large branches, creating a beautiful view that appears to dye the sky light pink in spring. Its elegance has led to the belief that a goddess resides here. Why not visit to meet the goddess who descends only during this time, right here? Night-time illuminations are also held each year to coincide with the blooming period, allowing enjoyment both day and night.
