Asakusa Opera - A Dream City Asakusa Invoked by Song and Live Narration!

108 years ago. 'Asakusa Opera' was a unique entertainment that took various genres of music such as opera, musicals, girls' operas, jazz, and chanson and adapted them in the Asakusa way, sweeping the world. With composer Takehiko Yamada as music director, it will be restructured and performed based on period materials. The stage progresses as the storyteller Ayatarou Aso narrates the historical context and background. The main program alternates between 'Carmen' and 'La Traviata', resulting in a 10-day long run performance.
