Minadzuki Festival
A procession held amidst lively music
The festival features a procession where the deity of Suigetsu Shrine in Hayae is transferred to a portable shrine. This procession is carried out on two boats named Minazuki Maru and Bentenmau, accompanied by lively music, as the boat carrying the portable shrine crosses the sea. The boat arrives at the beach where the festival takes place, and the portable shrine is enshrined at a temporary altar. During the festival, people gather around this portable shrine, and food stalls are set up, along with a bon odori dance festival.
