Lake Chuzenji, located at the entrance of Oku-Nikko, has a circumference of about 25km and a maximum depth of 163m. It is said to have formed approximately 20,000 years ago when lava from the eruption of Mount Nantai blocked the valley. The serene lakeside at the foot of Mount Nantai showcases different expressions through the seasons, with cherry blossoms to enjoy in spring. At an elevation of about 1300m, why not take some time to enjoy the refreshing scenery of Lake Chuzenji while savoring the slightly delayed arrival of spring?
