Sakura Blooming in Tōdan Town Hongo Cherry Blossom Avenue

In spring of 1934, about 2,800 cherry blossom trees of the Somei Yoshino variety were planted to wish for the recovery of the former Tōdan village, which was affected by the Great Sanriku Tsunami. The cherry blossom avenue in Hongo is one of the main attractions. Enjoy the full blooming cherry blossom tunnel.
