Ojika Whale Festival

Commemoration of maritime accident victims and whale spirit prayers
The Ojika Whale Festival has been held since 1953 to commemorate victims of maritime accidents and to offer prayers to whale spirits. It is a festival that conveys the culture of Ojika, a whaling town, with planned stage events and unique Ojika corners. A fireworks festival will also be held at night.
