Oohara Daruma Festival
Carrying large daruma and parading
Every year on August 15th, local youths and elementary school children carry handmade jumbo daruma. After running through the Oohara shopping street while praying for good health and safety, the daruma is burned on the riverbank, filling the finale with excitement.
