Special Summer Exhibition "Summer Vacation Children's Museum - Enjoying Asian Fabrics -"

"Summer Vacation Children's Museum" is an annual summer exhibition aimed at elementary and junior high school students. This time, focusing on "fabric," we will introduce various Asian fabrics and costumes selected by Hiroko Ohashi from "GALLERY Tōku," including pieces from India, Laos, and Afghanistan, along with the three main types of Japanese ancient fabrics (banana fiber, kudzu fiber, and sinew fabric) in collaboration with the museum's collection. Many of these items are difficult to collect and preserve, making this a valuable opportunity to see them up close.
