Funazushi Workshop - Experience the Tradition of Lake Country -

Making our home’s "funazushi" with the blessings of Lake Biwa
How about making the traditional dish "funazushi" from Lake Biwa with your own hands? A workshop for making funazushi using local fish "nigorobuna" will be held at the Asahi Fisheries Cooperative in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. In addition to the pickling practice, a lunch featuring lake fish is included. Beginners are also very welcome. The application deadline is Thursday, July 31, 2025. ■Notes Items to bring/clothing: 3.5 sho of cooked rice (for pickling) and clothes you don't mind getting dirty (footwear should be boots or sandals)
