Yamaga Lantern Festival

The art of light shines in the summer nights of Yamaga.
The Yamaga Lantern Festival, a summer tradition of Kyushu, colors the entire town of Yamaga with fantastical lights. Women in yukata, carrying gold lanterns on their heads, elegantly dance to the tune of the "Yoheho-bushi" with a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy the breathtaking views created by the ancient townscape and the lights over two days. Let yourself be completely enchanted.
