The Yamaga Lantern Festival, a summer tradition of Kyushu, colors the entire town of Yamaga with fantastical lights. Women in yukata, carrying gold lanterns on their heads, elegantly dance to the tune of the "Yoheho-bushi" with a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy the breathtaking views created by the ancient townscape and the lights over two days. Let yourself be completely enchanted.

The Thousand Lantern Dance will be held on August 16 (Saturday) from 20:00 (Doors open at 18:30) at Yamaga Elementary School grounds.
