African Contemporary Art "Tingatinga Original Exhibition" 2025 16th Yokohama Exhibition

Foreign folktales are perfect for understanding the culture of that country. Discovering the surprises that it is different from Japan leads to an interest in other countries. The feeling that it's the same or similar connects to empathy and ultimately to a peaceful consideration for one another. The strength of folktales and the vibrancy of Tingatinga art will become a door to cross-cultural experiences and a step towards understanding Africa and the international community. This exhibition will showcase a variety of items including dynamic original artworks, colorful traditional Kanga fabrics, printed Kitengae fabrics, and food.
