In the 1950s, as the chaos after the war settled, people began to pay attention not only to visible fashion but also to inner beauty. At the same time, daily bathing and hair washing were not common, and the demand for perfume was higher than it is now. Imported perfumes were objects of admiration, but they were expensive. In that era, Isehan carried out promotional activities such as selling "No.5" perfume. The exhibition aims to provide a glimpse of the foreign scenes that the Japanese people envisioned during a time when they could not travel abroad. *This is a mini-exhibition held in part of the permanent exhibition room.
