Sapporo Matsuri

A traditional festival that began in the fifth year of the Meiji era
In June, when refreshing winds blow across the northern lands and the fresh green leaves become beautiful, the regular festival "Sapporo Matsuri" is held at Hokkaido Shrine. The history of the regular festival is old, starting in the fifth year of the Meiji era, and since the eleventh year of the Meiji era, processions have also been held, making it the most prestigious festival in Sapporo that continues to be passed down to this day.
