Reiwa 7th Year Shimane University Comprehensive Museum Ashikaru Special Exhibition "80 Years After the War: Memories of War in Shimane"

The year 2025 (Reiwa 7) marks the 100th anniversary of Showa and the 80th anniversary of the end of the Asia-Pacific War. Even today, in the 21st century, wars continue around the world, increasing the importance of learning, reflecting on, and conveying the negative history of war. This special exhibition will introduce the war-related ruins remaining in the local area and the connection between the former Matsue High School (now Shimane University) and the war.
