Tough Mama and Her Children

"Laugh smartly and cunningly to get by"—that is the survival skill of Tough Mama, Anna Fierling. She uses war to survive, but loses important things because of war. Criticizing and laughing off that way of life, reflecting on it, and thinking about it—this is the challenge that Yukari Nishimoto, who has recently been active within and outside the theater company, takes on in directing this Brecht play.
