Echizen pottery, one of Japan's six ancient kilns, has been made since the Heian period. Learn the traditional technique 'twisted technique' created in the Middle Ages to make large jars and earthenware from Mr. Osamu Kondo, a traditional craftsman of Echizen pottery. The items to be produced this time are the 'Ohaguro jar' and 'Himorai jar', which actually existed as tools in the middle ages. This course will delve into the origins of Echizen pottery over two intense days. The capacity is 8 people. Reservations are required in advance. Since it's a 2-day program, only those who can participate on both days are eligible to enroll.
