[Cherry Blossoms - Best Viewing] The Path of History and Literature

[Cherry Blossoms - Best Viewing] The Path of History and Literature

The contrast between the white walls and cherry blossoms is beautiful

The Path of History and Literature

Late Mar~Early Apr

The Path of History and Literature refers to approximately 700 meters of the Yamagiwa Street, from the Otemon ruins (Otemae, Saiki City) to Yōken-ji Temple, the temple of the Mōri family, and has been selected as one of the '100 Best Roads in Japan.' The Yamagiwa Street, enveloped in tranquility, features the remnants of the former residence of Ryūkei Yano and the Sakamoto House, where the writer Doppō lived (now the Doppōkan in the castle town of Saiki), preserving the echoes of the past, making it a literal 'Path of History and Literature.' Enjoying the cherry blossoms that reflect against the white walls, why not reminisce about times long gone?
