Collection Exhibition Phase 2: Feature: Introduction of Newly Acquired Works 1

The Iwate Prefectural Museum of Art conducts four exhibition changes a year while showcasing collections in its permanent exhibition room. Phase 2 features the first part of the display of works newly added to the collection in 2024, centering on the works of sculptor Katsura Funakoshi. The exhibition introduces wooden sculptures from the artist's Sphinx series, as well as related prints and drawings. Works by contemporary artists such as Yuya Izumida and Yoshihisa Uda, as well as works by local artists active during the Taisho era, will also be on display.

The museum is closed on Mondays (however, if Monday is a holiday or a substitute holiday, it will be open, and will close on the following weekday). Open on 8/12. Admission is until 17:30.
