53rd Kaseda YumePika Honmachi Tanabata Festival

The "Tanabata Festival" with a long history and tradition is held every year on the main street of Kaseda, "YumePika Honmachi-dori." The shopping street becomes a pedestrian paradise, decorated with various sizes of Tanabata ornaments, and there are stalls selling food, toys, and more. A creative Tanabata contest by local children's associations, companies, and groups, as well as stage events in the evening featuring local volunteers' music performances, dances, and taiko drumming are planned, filling the midsummer night with excitement and vigor.
