Konaka Shrine Summer Festival

A lively festival featuring danjiri and mikoshi.
Every year from July 24 to 30, a festival is held at Konaka Shrine on Sundays. This is the only summer festival in the area featuring both a mikoshi and danjiri. One danjiri from each of the five town associations is pulled with vigor by young men in sync with the lively music, while rituals such as Sanbansō and Hassha Taiko are performed at the shrine. The Yoimiya is on 7/26 and the Honmatsuri is on 7/27.
