[Cherry Blossoms - Best Viewing] Hōshōji Castle Mountain Park
A view of the cherry blossom town from Hōshōji Castle Ruins
Hōshōji Castle Ruins, located on the west side of the Hōshōji River, will be adorned with many lanterns during the cherry blossom season, brightly illuminating the castle mountain at night. This year's illumination period is from March 24 (Mon) to April 13 (Sun). From the slightly elevated Castle Mountain Park, you can look down at the riverbank of Hōshōji River, where the cherry trees create a pink ribbon. The ‘Cherry Blossom Festival in Nanbu-cho’ will take place around Hōshōji-juku on April 5 (Sat) and 6 (Sun), so be sure to visit the venue.
