Fukue Kannon Shiman Rokusen Nichi Festival

A traditional summer event in Sasebo
It is said that attending for one day grants the benefits equivalent to 46,000 days, and the festival has a deep history of approximately 100 years. The main deity is unveiled, attracting many worshippers. Stalls line the approach, creating an atmosphere with the sound of cool furin (wind chimes) and lanterns lit in the darkness, enhanced by bamboo tubes. On stage, there are performances of music, karate, and participatory events such as a yukata contest. In the main hall, a large goma prayer is conducted, including prayers for matchmaking.
