Sakura Viewing: Matoi Park
A famous garden widely known for its cherry blossoms
Selected as one of the '100 Famous Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan' in 1990, this park is one of the top cherry blossom spots in the prefecture, attracting many visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture. With the green Matsui Mountain of pine trees as a backdrop, the pond and island create a stunning view. Events are held throughout the seasons, and the 'Matoi Park Cherry Blossom Festival' is typically held from mid-April to early May when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
