100 Million Candle Night @ Zojoji Temple 2025
Turn off the lights and enjoy a slow night.
A traditional summer solstice event organized by the food delivery service "Daiichi o Mamoru Kai" since 2003. This movement promotes taking time to reflect slowly under the warm light of candles, with the main venue being Zojoji Temple adorned with 1,690 candles. Various initiatives calling for social action are presented. After a countdown, Zojoji Temple and Tokyo Tower will all turn off their lights simultaneously. Following the lights out, a mini-live performance by LiLiCo and others will be held.
