Takaosanji Summer Festival

The summer festival of the ancient temple affectionately known as 'Kobo-san'
Takaosanji, located on a hill overlooking the city of Tanabe, is said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi and is affectionately known as 'Kobo-san'. The Takaosanji Summer Festival is held to commemorate the day Kobo Daishi attained nirvana, featuring the grand ceremony of Kobo Daishi's memorial service.
