Shibushi Buddha Festival

Celebrate the birth of Buddha
The "Shibushi Buddha Festival" is a celebration of the birth of Buddha that has been held since the Edo period. A procession of newlyweds riding on a 'shanshan horse' and a children's procession with small children in baskets walk through the streets, accompanied by lively dance groups and yosakoi performers, creating a splendid parade. Various events are held on the streets, with about 250 stalls including food stands and food trucks.
