At Iwayaji, a historic temple boasting 1300 years of history, the merits of Kannon can be received 99,000 times on this special day, equivalent to 99,000 days. The precincts will be adorned with art made of lights in accordance with this precious day. In addition to applications for the 99,000-day prayer, donation lanterns (starting from 1000 yen) and children's donation lanterns (free) are also available. A flute concert will also be held on the 9th.
