The "Kaso-numa Inari Shrine" located in Namegata City is said to have been founded in 1478 (the 10th year of the Bunmei era) and was designated as a tangible cultural asset by the city on March 1, 1973. This shrine, also known as "Sekitori Inari," holds a summer festival every year on August 25, where sumo and priestess dances are dedicated as prayers for a bountiful harvest.
