Jewel Beetles - Living Gemstones -

Surrounded by one of the largest beetle collections in the country, donated by the world's leading jewel beetle researcher, Dr. Sadahiro Omomo, this exhibition introduces research on various aspects including the diversity of their shapes and colors, classification, ecology, evolution, predation defense, the mechanism of structural colors that shine with brilliance, and biomimetics. Let's deepen our scientific curiosity and exploratory spirit while experiencing the charm of jewel beetles that shine beautifully like gemstones. ■Remarks There will also be a lecture by an entomologist (pre-registration required)
