Tanabata Prayer Festival for Skill Development in Arts and Crafts

Let's pray for the improvement of skills along with the sounds of gagaku.
The "Kikōten" on Tanabata night is an event to wish for the improvement of skills in sewing and weaving, presided over by the weaving goddess, Orihime. Even Emperor Kōken during the Nara period prayed for his own artistic development. At Oyu Inari Shrine, offerings of five-colored cloth are made along with delicious dishes from land and sea, and incense is burned to pray for the improvement of studies, craftsmanship, and the arts during the "Prayer Festival for Skill Development in Arts and Crafts." Let's pray together for not only improvement in the arts but also academic success, enhancement of craftsmanship, and construction safety. There will also be a donation of gagaku music by volunteers from the Gagaku Zuifūkai. ■Notes Those wishing to pray should contact in advance.
