80 Years After the War: Peace Memorial Exchange Exhibition 'Osaka Air Raid and Life During Wartime - Objects Conveying War Experiences'

The Museum of Returnees' Memories is holding an exchange exhibition in collaboration with Peace Osaka (Osaka International Peace Center / Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City). It has been 80 years since the first major air raid on Osaka, which mostly burned down the central city area from midnight on March 13, 1945 (Showa 20) to the early morning of March 14, with only a few areas spared. As the number of war experience holders who know about that time decreases each year, Peace Osaka will display photographs and actual materials in its collection, introducing the state of Osaka during that time and the living conditions of its people.
