Special Exhibition "Mucha: The Mysterious Painting"

Circling around, one scene
The oil painting "Quo Vadis," which crowns the Paris era of the Czech representative artist Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939). Many aspects related to this work have remained shrouded in mystery. This exhibition will uncover the full picture of this work, which had been missing for a long time until its discovery in 1979. It will showcase the appeal of the museum’s world-class Mucha collection, and debut a nearly life-sized tapestry woven with the hand-weaving technique "Sakai Danto" that is transmitted in Sakai City.
