Shishikui Gion Festival

A precious festival passed down in the local community for generations
The summer festival of Yasaka Shrine located in the Shishikui area, regarded as one of Japan's three Gion festivals. On the 16th, there will be night stalls and offering fireworks, and on the 17th, after the ceremonial rituals, traditional performances, and mochi throwing, the portable shrines and four large, splendidly decorated 'Danjiri' floats will parade through the town.
