Wakamiya Festival

One of Nagoya's Three Major Festivals
Known as one of Nagoya's three major festivals, this large festival is held every year on May 15th and 16th at the Nagoya General Shrine Wakamiya Hachiman Shrine. In 2025, there will be no float procession or portable shrine procession due to restoration of the floats, but there will be lively performances including music offerings, performances by the Nagoya University Koto Club, Ryukyu dance, and dojo scooping demonstrations. On the first day, there will also be food trucks, allowing guests to enjoy gourmet treats. ■ Notes ※ Schedule changes or cancellations may occur due to circumstances, and may be affected by weather conditions.
